Ms. Herbst holds a Master of Science degree in Community Health Education from Towson University. She worked on the Cancer Prevention in Community Practice Program at MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society from 1996 to 1998 and since 1998 has directed the Maryland Skin Cancer Prevention Program. Ms. Herbst currently serves as Manager for Program Development and Communications at the Center for a Healthy Maryland, where she is responsible for the development and oversight of grant funded projects.

Ms. Fielding has worked in fundraising, communications and public relations both in Maryland, including Maryland Committee for Children and the Woodbourne Trust and in the UK at King’s College, London and Atlantic College in Wales. She is active on several non-profit boards including the Baltimore Architecture Foundation and the Development Committee of the Maryland SPCA. She also writes the well-known blog, PigtownDesign.com

Ms. Patton received her Master of Public Health degree from Drexel University in 2006. During this time she also became certified as a health education specialist (CHES). Prior to joining the Center staff, she worked for LifeBridge Health as a community health educator and domestic violence educator/interventionist. Ms. Patton works primarily on maternal and child health programs.

Ms. Hartwell received her Master of Science degree in Community Health Education and Health Administration at Towson University in 2012. She is certified as a health education specialist (CHES). Ms. Hartwell serves as Program Assistant to several of the Center’s grant funded activities.
