Q: How dose a virtual class room operate?

 

A:
You log in to the course website to read instructions from the instructors, ask questions or add comments to discussions. It’s not too much to check in every day, but you decide how often you need to participate.
During the scheduled online session, watch the lectures and read course materials located inside the virtual classroom according to the provided instructions. Online activities include discussion board, case studies and in some courses, group work projects.

 

 

Q: How long does each course last?

 

A:

Typically, 3 to 4 weeks per course (See class syllabus).

 

 

Q: Will I have homework?

 

A:

Yes. Weekly instructions will be provided so you can plan your time.

 

 

Q: How do I claim CME?

 

A:

Graduates of this course will receive 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.  In order to receive CME credits participants must:
  • complete the entire course and all required work and exams;
  • complete each course study with a 70% or better; and
  • attend 1 live workshop session (Orientation and Welcome to Module 1)
**Please note that NO CME credit will be awarded for partial completion of the course.

 

Q: If I sign up today, when can I start? Must I wait for the class dates?

 

A:

You can not start before the beginning of your sessions’ start date.  There will be one mandatory live sessions which will consist of orientation to class with information on login and overview of your virtual classroom.
Classes will be limited to ten (10) physicians and launched on a rolling basis. Once your registration is received, you will receive a welcome email with a start date.  Estimated start times are within two (2) weeks of registration.

 

Q: Is there an evaluation process for these courses?

 

A:

Each activity includes an evaluation process to determine that the learning objectives have been met and that the activity was of educational value.
