Objective
Participants will understand the experiences of addiction, both as a physician and patient. This journey will provide an unique perspective and advice for future physicians on providing care for patients facing or recovering from addiction.
Talking Points
- Define the problem of substance use disorder with respect to physicians.
- Describe the use of toxicology screening in recovery.
- Discuss the continuum of treatment for physicians.
- Review how MPHPs 46-year history of working with physicians has impacted physicians and the care they give to their patients.
