Maryland Professional Rehabilitation Program (MPRP)
Supporting Healthcare Professionals on the Path Forward
Healthcare professionals dedicate their lives to caring for others. When personal health challenges begin to affect professional practice, finding the right support can make all the difference.
The Maryland Professional Rehabilitation Program (MPRP) provides structured guidance, monitoring, and resources for physicians, physician assistants, and allied healthcare professionals who have been referred by the Maryland Board of Physicians.
Our goal is simple: help healthcare professionals address potentially impairing conditions, meet Board requirements, and move forward with confidence while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and professional accountability.
A Program Built Around Recovery, Accountability, and Success
Being referred to MPRP can feel overwhelming. Many participants come to the program facing uncertainty about their future, their careers, and the steps required to return to safe and successful practice.
You do not have to navigate that process alone.
Our experienced team works alongside participants to create a clear path forward through individualized planning, professional guidance, and ongoing support.
We focus on helping participants:
- Understand and successfully meet Board requirements
- Access appropriate evaluation and treatment resources
- Build a personalized rehabilitation plan
- Demonstrate recovery and professional readiness
- Maintain accountability throughout the rehabilitation process
- Continue progressing toward long-term health and career success
