The 1918 Flu Pandemic and Lessons Learned

Philip Mackowiak, MD will present a lecture on the 1918 Spanish Flu Pandemic and the lessons learned from it. He will discuss the origin of the pandemic, its peculiar timeline and clinical characteristics, and the critical elements that gave rise to what became a “perfect storm” of misery and death.
